Punk Rock – remember that? Remember when punk rock was still about danger and not about selling shoes? Well, Trigger Effect does. This is no nostalgic sleep walking trip, these Montreal miscreants are as equally committed to incinerating the past as they are about giving the finger to the future. Formed in April of 2003, Trigger Effect have since toured extensively, playing over 100 shows in the last year including three North American tours. “Dare to ride the Heliocraft” captures the thunderous experience felt at their live shows. The album was recorded in two midnight to 10am sessions after a grueling 6 month, 6 day a week, 5 hour a day pre-production period. The album is a continuous, blistering path of destruction over eleven songs and they bulldoze over anything that happens to be in the way. Using the professional moniker Turbo Machine Enterprises, their prolific exploits have included organizing and promoting the annual “Fear And Loathing In Montreal” festival, the literal battle of the bands “Rock Fight” and the underground venue Turbo Haus.Proceed with extreme caution because this is not for the faint of heart or people that are scared at the sight of blood. Trigger Effect are not trying to sell shoes or even entertain you here, they are trying to obliterate the world one person at a time. This is Chaos, this is danger, this is punk rock! This is Trigger Effect. It is not a choice but an inevitability. |
