Depuis ses débuts à l’automne 2000, le trio Genticorum a su se créer un son personnel et original. Il s'est ainsi taillé une belle place sur la scène des festivals folk au Québec et inévitablement l'on a récemment commencé à les remarquer en différents événements au Canada et aux É.-U. Les trois confrères du groupe Genticorum offre un répertoire essentiellement québécois et accorde une place de choix aux airs tordus et aux chansons tordantes. Parallèlement à sa recherche de répertoire inusité, le trio intègre bon nombre de compositions originales inspirées de la tradition. Le premier album du groupe, Le Galarneau a été lancé à la fin de 2002 et a depuis récolté des éloges du milieu folk nord-américain.
