Jah Stitch is a talented toaster, singjay & chanter from the 70’s a cross between U Roy and Big Youth who were the main DJ’s at that time. He began his career with Tippertone and Black Harmony sound systems.This album contains some wicked hit tracks such as, “Make a joyful noise”, “King of the arena”, “The killer”, “Real born African”, also the title track “No dread can’t dead” being a come back track after miraculously surviving a gunshot to the head in a Kingston street dispute, it changed his voice and appearance, but with no serious consequence where recording was concerned.
