"I know the Earth is flat" is Raphael's fourth studio album. The songs were recorded and produced by Tony Visconti and Renaud Letang.

Various musicians took part in making the album, including Robert Aaron on keyboard and horn, Tony Allen on drums, Carlos Alomar back again on guitar, Gail Ann Dorsey on bass and Mino Cinelu on percussion.

The album includes a duet with Jamaican singer Frederick Toots Hibbert, lead singer and founder of Toots and the Maytals.

Raphael's last studio album, "Caravane" was the top-selling album of 2005 with 1,800,000 copies sold. It also was awarded three Victoires de la Musique and an NRJ Music Award in 2006.
